Grounds for Sculpture presents The Yass Hakoshima Movement Theatre featuring Yass Hakoshima with Sirius Quartet (with violinist Leonor Falcon in place of Gregor Huebner), in the performance of “Conversations with Sculptures” an afternoon of exciting physical drama and live music and fun for all ages.
Experience the singular journey with mime/movement artist Yass Hakoshima as he mesmerizes the audience with his “Good Luck Drawing” and other works, accompanied by exciting music performed by the extraordinary NY-based Sirius Quartet. With colorful costumes, unusual music, ancient Japanese mime elements and Western Dance Techniques, Hakoshima transforms his body into a dramatic instrument that expresses the synthesis of both Japanese theatre and Western dance.
